The Building Commission is conducting an update seminar for members of the building and construction industries. The purpose of the seminar is to canvas the upcoming changes and proposed amendments to the Building Regulations 2012 in relation to bushfires and swimming pool barriers.
An overview of construction details in accordance with Australian Standards 3959, the Australian standard for construction of buildings in a bushfire-prone area and an update on roles and services provided by the Building Commission will be provided. The seminars will be of particular use to those working in the building industry including builders, building designers, building surveyors, tradespeople and local government.
The seminars will be held on:
- Monday 4 April 2016 at 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the Technology Park Function Centre, 2 Brodie-Hall Drive, Bentley; and
- Wednesday 6 April 2016 at 1:30pm to 4:30pm at the Technology Park Function Centre, 2 Brodie-Hall Drive, Bentley.
The seminars are free to attend, but places are limited and registration is essential. To reserve a place at one of the seminars, please contact the Building Commission.
